Bronte sits at the western edge of Oakville around the mouth of Bronte Creek, and it is the one part of town where the default answer about airports is worth questioning. Pearson from here is a longer QEW run than it is from central Oakville — you are picking up the highway at Bronte Road or Third Line and carrying the extra distance east through Trafalgar, Winston Churchill and on to the 427. In the weekday morning build that difference is not small. Meanwhile Hamilton International is west: QEW to the 403, then Highway 6 south over the escarpment, running against the dominant commuter flow for most of the day. If your airline flies out of Hamilton, raise it on the phone before defaulting to Pearson, because from Bronte it is frequently the shorter and calmer trip outside the winter months. The village itself has its own pickup character. Bronte Road and Lakeshore Road West are the spines, the harbour and Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park draw weekend traffic, and the residential streets running down toward the water are quieter and easier to work with than Old Oakville but still worth agreeing in advance. North of the QEW, Bronte Road runs straight up to the 407 ramp, which makes the toll route a genuine option from the newer neighbourhoods here. Burlington is minutes away to the west, and a lot of Bronte bookings end there.
